William Cobb

William Troy Cobb, age 56, of Springfield passed away on April 13, 2021 at his home.

He was born on September 13, 1964 to the late William Ralph and Shirley Ann Cobb in Springfield. Troy was a 1982 graduate of Springfield High School and married the love of his life Sharon Beasley on May 3, 1985, they were blessed with three sons. Troy was devoted to his family and a faithful member of Battlecreek Baptist Church where he was a deacon, led the music on Sunday mornings, and a trustee

Troy enjoyed to work. He started out working in the tobacco fields and at Dorris Milling Company, he raised pigs, managed the family dairy farm and later worked on the docks at Kroger's.
Troy was a true family man devoted to his wife and sons, his church and his community.

In addition to his parents, Troy is preceded in death by his brother Tim Cobb.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Sharon Beasley Cobb; sons, Justin Troy Cobb, Mason Brett (Sarah) Cobb and Dillon Christopher Cobb; granddaughter, Olivette Anaelle Cobb; brothers, Ralph Anthony (Lisa) Cobb and Earl Trent (Diana) Cobb and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 16th from 5-8pm at Springfield Funeral Home. The family will have a private life celebration at a later date with Brother Robert Tyson officiating. Burial will follow at Battlecreek Baptist Church Cemetery with Ralph Anthony Cobb, Earl Trent Cobb, Earl Beasley, Jr., Gary Beasley, Andrew Cobb, Cory Toothman, Anthony Cobb and Richard Howell serving as pallbearers.
