Obituary

Billy Ray Ogg, Jr age 27 of Nashville and formally from Springfield passed away on October 31, 2021.

He was born on May 29, 1994 in Springfield to Cathy Graves and the late Billy Ray Ogg, Sr. Billy was a 2012 graduate of Springfield High School and worked for Powder Tech Services in Nashville.

Billy was described as a loving son, brother and friend. He was a born-again Christian sharing the gospel with anyone he could find. Billy was notorious for stopping on the side of the road and praying with whoever was walking down the street. His free spirit and smile would light up a room and his giving ability never stopped to those in need.

He loved to travel. It wasn’t surprising for Billy to say he was going to get Mexican and call from Texas a few days later. When his sister Amber bought a new car, they jumped in and drove straight to Florida to spent the next three days camping out in the car on the beach. He and his aunt Savanah took a trip to Gatlinburg where he loved going to the mountains.

Billy’s adventurous spirit and loving attitude will be missed by all that love him.

In addition to his father, Billy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Evelyn Allen.

He is survived by his mother, Cathy (David May) Graves; siblings, Mark Graves, Ashley Graves, Amber Grave, Jessie Ogg and Levi Ogg; nephew, Carson Storey; niece, Kenley Graves; aunt, Savanah (Jimmy) Evans; uncle, Kenneth Ray Allen, Jr. and a host of cousins.

A Life Celebrations will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 with Pastor Greg Locke at 1pm. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8pm then again on Saturday from 11-1pm. The burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Online condolences can be made at www.SpringfieldFH.com.
