Darvin Almon Blain age 85 of Lewisburg, KY passed away on September 5, 2022, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
He was born on June 5, 1937, to the late Anvil Clyde and Callie Jordan Blain in Coleman, Alabama. Darvin was a member for many years at Neely’s Bend Baptist Church until his recent more to Kentucky where he attended New Union Baptist Church. He worked for many years as a crane operator for Nashville Bridge, then later at P&E as a product buyer and finally at Stringfellow Inc for 18 years before retiring to spend more time with his family.
Darvin was described as a cheerleader for his family. He never missed a game and was always cheering them to do there very best at whatever they wanted to accomplish. He enjoyed fishing and watching the news and his favorite football team the Tennessee Titans.
In addition to his parents, Darvin is preceded in death by his siblings, Belton “Shorty” Blain and Martha Cuzell.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lizzie E. Blain; children, Kevin (Norma) Blain, Teressa (Charles) Wright, Steve (Caitlin) Henson, Mark Whittemore, Tommy (Machele) Whittemore and Jackie (Ann) Jenson; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and fur baby, Daisy.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 2:00pm with Brother Donnie Blick officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
