Douglas Heighton

Doug S. Heighton, age 57 of Springfield passed away on September 29, 2021.

He was born on March 4, 1964, in Canton, Ohio to Donald Heighton, Jr. and Charlotte Plymptom. Doug was a HVAC Technician and started his career over 25 years ago with Henderson Heating and Air. He went on to work for Robinette and was currently working at DHC in White House. Doug loved his family, enjoyed riding motorcycles and target shooting and a loyal friend. Doug loved and cared for everyone around him, it didn’t matter where you came from or what you believed in, he could see the person you were on the inside and the rest never mattered to him

Doug will always be remembered as a loving father, son, brother and uncle.

Mr. Heighton is preceded in death by his stepfather, Donald Plymptom.

He is survived by his son, Alex Heighton and his mother, Sherry Trice; stepdaughter, Ronda Trice; parents, Donald Heighton, Jr. and Charlotte Plymptom; brother, William (Nancy) Heighton; nephew, Patrick (Renee) Heighton; niece, Amanda (Chris) Berkley; great nephew, Connor Heighton and great niece, Sophia Braizy.

A Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 9th at Grace Baptist Church at 4pm.
