Evelyn C. Jones of Whites Creek, Tennessee passed away of natural causes on November 10, 2022 in Kennesaw, GA. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Becky) Jones, of Acworth, GA. She is also survived by 4 grandsons and several great-grandchildren.

Evelyn was born in Cross Plains, Robertson County, Tennessee to Ewing and Evie Gale Tate, farmers in Cross Plains, Tennessee. She survived her three siblings; Catherine Bostic, Rebecca Gassman and Davis Tate. Evelyn graduated high school from Robertson County High School, and married Robert W Jones (deceased). Evelyn and Robert had two children, Kenneth W Jones, and James R Jones (deceased).

Evelyn was a very hard worker. Growing up on a farm in the 1930’s and 1940’s were trying times, yet she always had a positive attitude. Her long work history includes; Werthan Bags, Better Built Aluminum, Howard Johnson’s, and Standard Candy. Upon retiring from full time work in 1997, Evelyn spent the next 22 years working part time for Nashville Metro Schools, in food services. Most of those years were spent working at Alex Green Elementary School in Whites Creek, Tn. She always talked about how much she loved the children! Go Tennessee Titans!

Service for Evelyn C Jones will be held on Sunday, 4 December, 2022 at 1:00pm at Springfield Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home, 4005 Memorial Blvd., Springfield, Tn. 37172. Interment to follow.
