Gloria Dean Tucker

Gloria Dean Eslick Tucker age 85 of Coopertown, passed away at her home on August 19, 2021 surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 8, 1936 in Franklin, Tennessee to the late Frank and Sue Eslick. She married the love of her life on January 19, 1952 and moved to Coopertown. They attended Coopertown Church of Christ where they were members for over 50 Years.

Mrs. Tucker was a house wife and tended to every need of her family. She was an amazing cook and baker. Some of most famous items were her biscuits, chocolate pie, and fried okra. Mrs. Tucker enjoyed embroidering beautiful quilts by hand, working jig saw puzzles, completing find a word searches, watching old westerns and listening to Elvis. She also enjoyed fellow shipping with the ladies at the Home Demonstration Club when it was held at Martins Chapel Church or shopping the good deals at North Crest $5.00 jewelry sale.

Mrs. Tucker's kind heart and love for her family will bring good memories to her family and friends for years to come.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gloria is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Maney Murry Tucker Jr.

She is survived by children, Linda (James) Lee, Joan Williams and Carolyn “Deanie” Dumont; grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Lee Jr., Charlie (Heather Goodman) Lee, Patrick “P-Nut” (Chelsea Carter) Lee, Crystal Williams, Michael Williams, Nisa Dumont, Sue (Mark) Cohea and Mary Ann Dumont; great- grandchildren, Ethan Lee, Eli Lee, Gracie Lee, Spencer Lee, Laylah Goodman, AJ Lee, Rocky Lee, Brayden Adcock, Phoenix Epps, Montgomery Epps, Jackson Cohea and Melody Williams; and great-great grandson Ryker Lee and sister, Janice (William) Cumming.

A Life Celebration will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 2pm with Bro Hubert Cunningham and Bro Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with James Lee, Jr., Charlie Lee, Ethan Lee, Eli Lee Patrick Lee and Spencer Lee serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 4-8pm then again on Sunday from 1pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
