Lelia Joyce Biggs age 77 of Springfield passed away on December 25, 2021, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

She was born on January 6, 1944 to the late James Thomas and Sandra Guill. Joyce was a 1964 graduate of Springfield High School. She married the love of her life Harold K. Biggs on December 5, 1959 and were bless with three children. Mrs. Biggs was an active member of Life House Fellowship Church and enjoyed singing in the choir, volunteering with the babies in the nursery and going on youth mission trips. She worked for many years as a Real Estate Agent and was active in the Robertson County & Goodlettsville Chambers. Mrs. Biggs worked the last 5 years as a Community Ambassador and Funeral Assistant for Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Mrs. Biggs was famous for her cooking. Her children said they remember growing up to home cooked meal made from scratch with fresh vegetables for their dad’s garden. Family was important to Mrs. Biggs and she spent as much time as possible with them, from spending time on the ball fields with their children and family vacations to picking the grandchildren up from school and babysitting the great-grandchildren. Family vacations at the beach were some of the memories shared; She would enjoy the sand and water while watching over everyone having a good time.  It brought Mrs. Biggs joy watching her family grow and enjoy life. She loved life, her family and to love on those around her.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Biggs is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold Kempf Biggs; granddaughter, Lelia Marie Biggs and great-grandsons, Ahmad Osborne, and Jayce Easley and five siblings.

She is survived by her children, children, Sandra (Wayne) Easley, Mark (Kristin) Biggs and Phillip (Sally) Biggs; grandchildren, Cody Biggs, Josh Biggs, Savannah Biggs, Skyler Edmond, Justin Gary, Avita Osborne, Carlos Easley and Trevor Boaz; 10 great-grandchildren and sister, Sandra (Butch) Shadowens.

A Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Brother Barry Voorhies. Pallbearers will be Josh Biggs, Justin Gary, Skylar Edmond, Steve Norvell, Wayne Brown and Wayne Stevens. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm then again on Wednesday from 11am until the service.
