Nancy Coulter Bowling, age 81 of Springfield passed away on May 25, 2021 at NHC Healthcare in Hendersonville.
She was born Nancy Ann Coulter on February 6, 1940 in Barren Plains, Tennessee to the late Louis and Louise Coulter. Nancy was a graduate of Greenbrier High School and worked for many years for the State of Tennessee at the Department of Health.
Nancy was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenbrier and loved singing in the choir. During the summer she would take her niece and nephew to Gospel concerts when they were little. Her husband William loved photography and they spent many hours together finding the perfect photos.
Nancy loved her family and especially her nieces and nephews and their children.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Bowling and siblings, Bettye Sue Coulter Lee and Billy Coulter; nephew, Dennis Lee and niece, Suzi Lee.
She is survived by her niece and nephews, Ric (Nina) Lee of Lascassas, Charley Hale of Bethpage, Andy (Kathy) Lee of Greenbrier, Brad Coulter of Franklin and a host of great nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, May 28th at 2pm in the Chapel of Springfield Funeral Home with Brother Ric Lee officiating. The burial will follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00pm until the time of service.
