Patricia Gregory

Patricia Ann Browning Gregory, 82, entered heaven's portals in the wee hours of April 7, 2021. She loved life and it loved her. She was spunky, sassy and determined until the very end.

She was born in Springfield, Tennessee on September 22, 1938 to Douglas and Katherine Browning. She married Homer Gregory in 1964. They were married for 55 years when Homer passed away on June 14, 2019. She loved and missed him until her dying breath. She had one beloved son, Del, of whom she was very proud.

Patricia was a hockey fan extraordinaire. She loved the Dixie Flyers, Nashville's first hockey team, and followed them regularly including trips to Florida to see them play. Many of them knew Homer and Pat by sight and by name. When the Predators came to town, Patricia made sure she got her season tickets until she was no longer able to drive downtown for games. She collected Hockey Memorabilia and absolutely loved the games.

Pat loved all things sparkly and shiny and loved to dress up. She enjoyed looking pretty and getting her hair done. She had a standing appointment to get her hair "fixed" weekly at Salon Red up until a few weeks before her death and hated to miss her appointment.

Patricia was preceded in death by parents Douglas and Katherine Browning and her husband, Homer Gregory. She is survived by her son, Del (B.J.) Allgood, granddaughter, Breeanna (Jack) Swadley and their children, Jack III and Cora Ann, grandson, Bradley (Marissa) Allgood, granddaughter, Noelle Allgood and Glynis Allgood as well as cousins and other extended family and friends.

There will be a graveside service at Springfield Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 4005 Memorial Blvd, Springfield TN 37172 on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of life meal at Bellshire Church of God of Prophecy located at 1268 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville TN 37207 following.
